Roads heading east offer viewpoints with lovely vistas of the mountain often framed by tree covered ridges that rise steeply from river valleys that flow from the mountain. The quilt in the picture has been done in a combination of hand appliqu and raw edged machine appliqu; however, it may be constructed using any appliqu methods.
