1980s Christian Dior Giant Celestial Sun Moon and Stars Brooch floral-embroidered 9 cm)Length - 37 inThis striking Christian Dior brooch was designed by the world renowned fashion house circa mid 1980s. It was almost certainly manufactured by Henkel & Grosse who have a long association with jewellery making for Dior that began in 1955. Drawing on celestial motifs, it forms a large crescent moon surrounded by a circular stylised sun. The moon has a textured criss cross surface detailed with debossed stars.
